The Law Offices of Andrew W. Jones Sponsors Race Fundraiser Benefitting Local Families

The Law Offices of Andrews W. Jones is again lending a helping hand to assist struggling families in the local area. Continuing its annual commitment to the cause, the Marietta personal injury law firm is sponsoring the 12th Annual Sleighbells on the Square 5K race, which is raising money for the Children?s Emergency Fund, Inc. The firm has paid a Silver sponsorship fee for this month for the event that occurs on the Marietta Square on Dec. 8.

By supporting the fundraiser, the law firm is helping provide families throughout the community with important resources during their times of need. The Children?s Emergency Fund was established by the Cobb County Bar Association in order to raise money and provide support for families when they are facing hardship, according to the bar association?s website. For example, these times of crisis might include instances in which parents lose their jobs, suffer from severe illness, receive injuries or experience other threatening situations over which they might have no control.

The fund provides one-time financial grants that are meant to help the parents return to places of financial stability. Those grants pay for things such as clothing, housing, bills and much more. Since school started on Aug. 13, the Children?s Emergency Fund has provided assistance to more than 35 families.
